As an attorney, Mr. Grubman has litigated a wide array of commercial, business and real estate disputes.  He has been involved in actions among partners/members/shareholders in closely held companies.  These disputes have included shareholder derivate claims as well as direct claims for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, usurpation of corporate opportunities and corporate waste and to dissolve companies and/or force a buyout of one parties' shares.  Mr. Grubman has also litigated non-compete and non-solicitation claims as well as attempts by purchasers of businesses to undo transactions on the basis of fraud.  He has participated extensively in litigation involving breach of contract and business torts among a broad range of industries.  Finally, Mr. Grubman has been involved in a variety of commercial claims under the UCC, including banking matters. 

Given the challenging economy during the past few years, it is not surprising that Mr. Grubman has mediated many of these same disputes.  Mr. Grubman has been able to utilize his experience as counsel in similar matters to help the parties evaluate their claims and assist them in identifying a rationale business solution for their disputes.  By actively listening to their concerns but also respectfully identifying the challenges and costs that the parties face in litigating these expensive and stressful matters, Mr. Grubman has helped many people stop the bleeding and put these difficult matters behind them. 

As a result of the massive decline in real estate prices throughout South Florida during the past several years, Mr. Grubman has also had the opportunity to serve as a mediator in a wide variety of real estate related disputes, including commercial foreclosure actions, actions by purchasers to obtain the return of their condominium deposits, and actions between condominium associations and country clubs and their residents.
