EMPLOYMENT
In his 20 plus years of experience as an attorney, Mr. Grubman has been involved in many employment matters. Among other claims, he has litigated non-compete and non-solicitation matters, tortious interference and other business torts, trade secret claims and intellectual property matters. Mr. Grubman has always believed that it is in his clients' interest to resolve these emotional and taxing disputes. He came to appreciate the value of mediation, a process by which a party to an employment matter can experience the cathartic effect of telling his or her story and reach a certain resolution. Mr. Grubman came to understand that an effective mediator could actively listen to his client's concerns but point out the challenges and costs involved in proceeding forward.
Since Mr. Grubman began serving as a mediator in 2005, he has had the privilege of mediating many employment actions, including whistle blower and wage and hour claims. Throughout his career as a litigator and a mediator, he has welcomed the challenge of dealing with highly charged and emotional litigants. He takes great pride in helping to diffuse those emotions and to assist parties in reaching a resolution that makes business sense for all involved. While a mediator's knowledge of the law is important, it is this innate ability to connect with people and help them put an emotional and sometimes painful experience behind them that makes for a great mediator. Mr. Grubman has been told by many skilled litigators whom he respects tremendously that he possesses these traits.
